Mahogany and Bird's-eye Maple Veneer Inlaid Secretary Bookcase, northern coastal New England, c. 1805, the upper section with molded cornice above a bird's-eye maple veneer frieze and two glazed cabinet doors opening to adjustable shelves, set on a lower section with deep fall-front bird's-eye maple veneered desk drawer opening to an interior of drawers and compartments, and three long drawers below, all on a base of flaring French feet centering a rectangular bird's-eye maple drop panel, refinished, (imperfections), ht. 94, lower case wd. 46 1/4, lower case dp. 23 1/4 in.
