A large and impressive cordiform gilt silver Asyk Pendant, Turkestan, Teke Tribe - 1880-1900
Worn originally also as a hair ornament. The heart-shaped Asyk Pendant is adorned with fine scrollwork, zigzag filigree and cut open work on its borders. Inset with 4 carnelian stones and a large carved carnelian amulet in the center. metal loss at the bottom.
A ring on top and a tubular element for stringing.
