Chinese Underglazed Blue and Red Vase, 19-20th Century
A Chinese underglaze blue and red rouleau vase depicting the "Three Friends of Winter," i.e. a cherry tree, pine tree, and bamboo, dating from the late 19th to the early 20th century. There are overglazed accents in red, green, and yellow. It has a 6-character mark on the bottom.
Dimensions are: 11 1/2 inches tall X 5 inches wide, 29.2 cm X 12.7 cm. All measurements are approximate.
Condition: There is an area of repair to the shoulder and possible areas of overpainting. There is a large crack to the body.
Provenance: From a San Francisco, California estate.
