The face reads “Brigade Commander” at top, and “Richmond VA 1907 – To Jefferson Davis, President of the Confederate States of America, 1861-1865” on the lower medallion. Each component bears the maker marks “Whitehead & Hoag Co., Newark, NJ” on the back.
