Description: This is a very interesting ukiyo-e or Japanese woodblock print showing a woman and a child walking down the street. This print was made by Utagawa Kunisada II, one of the heads of the Utagawa school. The print is stamped with a kiwame censor seal and a publisher seal for Fujioka Hikotaro.
Signed: Kunisada ga (art by Kunisada) on lower right side of the paper. Round kiwame censor seal above publisher seal for Fujioka Hikotaro.

Condition: Paper was pasted to backing paper likely by first owner or publishing company, which has taken some wear, see photos for specifics. Left side of paper has some golds, and light creases throughout. Writing in lower left corner on back. No major rips or tears, no insect damage or pinholes. No foxing.
Provenance: From the estate of a local retiree, whose grandfather collected Ukiyo-e prints throughout the 1930s.
