A contemporary beech and fruitwood Desk by Nigel Brown, circa 1990, of convex rectanguar form, the curved top above three frieze drawers raised on turned tapered legs, one with a 'leg bracelet', 63in (160cm) wide x 18in (45.5cm) deep x 30in (76cm) high. Nigel Brown worked with John Makepiece, one of this country's foremost furniture designers, and had a workshop in Seatown, Chideock, and later at Hook Farm, Beaminster. This desk, the property of Nigel Brown's ex-wife, was exhibited at Parnham House and other artisan shows.
