A very well-made 18th century style (later) Anglo-Indian rosewood bureau cabinet; the outset cornice above two glazed doors, each with six hand-bevelled glass plates enclosing shelves, the wide and heavy cleated fall opening to reveal fully fitted stepped interior with central reeded cupboard door, opening to reveal spring-loaded catches releasing the two turned columns as 'secret' compartments, further with pigeon-holes and varying sized stepped drawers etc. and a well below, the façade with three top false drawers over two half-width and two full-width graduated true drawers, raised on shaped bracket feet (189cm high x 58cm deep x 126cm wide)
