A Maryland salt glazed stoneware jar, attributed to Peter Herrmann, Baltimore, third quarter 19th century, the cylindrical jar with squared rim and tooled collar below, decorated with a cobalt blue split stem clover motif to either side, stamped "1 1/2".
Dimensions:Height 11 1/4in; diameter 7in.
Provenance:From a Chester County estate.
Condition Report: With typicalimperfections and discoloration from firing and glazing. Firing crack to the underside, otherwise in generally good condition overall.
