Made for the Russian market, a large hand colored engraved dated for 1827 that depicts The Grande Army of Napoleon crossing the river Neman on June 24, 1812. It was engraved by Ignaz Sebastian Klauber (1753-1817) and hand colored by A. Begemann in 1827. Text in Cyrillic and French.
Dimensions:Sight is 21 1/2" x 31 1/2", 25 1/2" x 36" overall.
Condition Report: There is a tear at the upper right margin help with archival tape, the mat is mounted to the print and there are lines of toning and minor stains.
