WW2 German Naval (Kriegsmarine) Officers Dress Dagger, good example with white celluloid grip retaining the original wire binding. Gilt eagle pommel top and cross guard with press button release. Housed in its original gilt metal scabbard with two hanging rings. Attached to the scabbard are the two gilt metal clips for the hanging straps but been replaced with a leather cord. Un-maker marked plain double edged blade with two fullers to the centre. Remains in generally good condition. This dagger was brought home by Corporal Eric Albert Kerridge Cameronians (Scottish Rifles), he was stationed in Kiel and it is believed it was here that he picked up this item and the other war souvenirs which are listed in this auction.
