first quarter 20th century, by Barbour Silver Co., Meriden, Connecticut, comprising:
twelve bread and butter plates, dia. 6-1/4";
twelve service plates, dia. 12";
three graduated oval serving platters, 10-1/4" x 14", 16" x 12" and 13-1/2" x 17-3/4";
a sauceboat on stand, h. 4", l. 8-1/4";
a covered entree dish, h. 5-1/8", l. 10-1/2", w. 8-1/2"; and
a covered vegetable dish, h. 5", l. 12-1/2", w. 8-1/4"
all decorated with richly engraved floral scrolls and monogrammed "DST".

Condition Report: A handsome set in quite good condition, with no dents, breaks or repairs noted. Some minor surface scratches and stacking scuffs of the plate plateaux, but no knife marks. The monograms on the graduated platters are worn suggesting that the plateaux on these have been buffed; all the other monograms are quite crisp. Each piece marked (on the underside) "1500 / Sterling" and with the Barbour "BSCo" trademark; the plates and platters additionally marked with the diameter/length, the platters additionally marked"Hand Wrought".
