Continental School oil on canvas laid on board religious portrait, 19th century, depicting the bearded St. Francis de Sales wearing a turned down white collar proper to the Congregation of the Oratory of St. Philip Neri of which he was a member, vested as a bishop in choir dress, including a blue mozzetta over a white cotta, and a pectoral cross suspended from a blue ribbon, having his right hand raised in blessing, 27.5"h x 19.5"w, overall size with frame 33.75"h x 25.75"w x 1.5"d.
