Chinese Jade Hanging Vase, Late-19th Century
A Chinese jade lidded hanging vase dating from the late-19th century. The sides of the vase feature a pair of chilong and the vessel has two stylized animal handles. There is a Greek key border around the mouth and the handle of the lid. The vessel is suspended by two chains beneath a plaque featuring phoenixes holding a disc in their beaks.
Dimensions: 8 1/2 inches tall X 4 inches wide; 21.6 cm tall X 10.2 cm wide. All measurements are approximate.
Condition: There is a small chip in the rim of the lid.
