Ancient Snuffbox with dedication - Silver - William Simpson - England - 1830
Wonderful snuff box in silver, richly decorated on all sides, with a dedication dated 1832, engraved on lid (partially faded and not fully legible) . In vermeil inside. It shows unknown hallmarks. Seller guess that it could be a German handcrafted item, with hallmark imitating the English ones, made in 1830 or earlier (the 1832 year has been engraved on the dedication) . Weight: 108 grams. Dimensions: 83 x 54 x 19 mm. Used, with many signs of wear; a corner has worn out leaving a small hole (as shown by pictures) . Tracked shipping via insured mail.
