Pair of French Bisque Porcelain Painted Figures of a Male and Female Courting Couple. Each seated on a stump, on pastel-hued textured ground, atop a stepped round base. Both in court dress, painted with stylized vining flowers, and she with a doubled gold beaded necklace. Unmarked. France, probably Limoges. Circa 1900. 23" H., the bases approximately 10" Diameter. Good condition, except for the loss of the fingers on her right hand, replaced. One light firing crack to each, to the interior bases, typical for manufacture.
