A Large Famille Rose Enamel Charger, Yongzheng Period (1723-1735) The dish is painted with a centralised scene within a foliate boarder depicting figures from the tale of the ‘Water Margin’. The rim of the dish is decorated with a wide boarder of scrolling flowers on a yellow ground. Four oval cartouches depict dragons in blue enamel. To the reverse of the dish a large elaborate roundel of a blue enamel dragon to the centre. To the rim sprigs of floral blossoms and fruits. Measures: 37. 5 cm in diameter Condition: The dish ever so slightly warped/misshapen. Minor restorations to enamels on the boarder and reverse. Some crackles/Lines to the enamel.
