A pair of German over-and-under flintlock pistols
Two-stage octagonal to round barrels with cannon muzzles. Smooth bores in 12 mm calibre. The lower parts of the barrels with engraved signature "Georg Hartl". Lock plates with engraved decor of grotesque heads between scrolling leaves, monogram "GH" at the end. Double pans with sliding mechanism. Finely engraved, pierced sideplates. Lightly carved walnut full stocks with iron furnitures, the butt caps with mascarons in low relief. Laterally inserted wooden ramrods with horn tips. One pistol with old restored crack at the buttstock, the forend cracked on the left.
