A Rare And Fine Small Bronze Figure Of Ascetic Shakyamuni Seated Buddha Ming Dynasty (1368-1644) The small emaciated figure is depicted seated on mat with his hands resting on one knee whilst his other leg is tucked beneath. The fine details of the figure are particular of note in the brittle bones showing through on his back and spindly legs. At the base the remnants of an old brown paper label. Condition: A section of the mat has been broken away and is no longer present which does not detract from the serene beauty of the piece. Wear and patina consistent with age.
