Dalhousie (James Broun-Ramsay, 1st Marquess of, 1812-1860). Two autograph letters signed to Sir John Littler during the Second Anglo-Burmese War, dated Government House [Calcutta], 25 August and 25 September 1852, concerning troop movements and similar ('We propose to restrict the operation of the Army to the conquest and occupation of Pegu as high as Prome ...'), both single bifolia, written on 3 and 4 sides respectively, both creased from folding, numbered in blue pencil to upper outer corners of first page, first letter stained from adhesive and largely split along central fold, 22.8 x 18.6 cm and 17.8 x 11.2 cm, together with:

[First Anglo-Burmese War], Two letters concerning a medal for native troops, 1829, i.e. autograph letter signed from James Morrison of the Royal Mint to John Charles Herries (1778-1855), master of the Royal Mint, 13 March 1829, enclosing a copy of a letter to Herries from W. Astell and John Lock of the East India Company (12 March 1829), both single bifolia, respectively 18.5 x 11.8 cm and 32 x 20 cm,

[Royal Navy], Three printed bills of lading for HMS Iphigenia for voyages from Port Royal, Jamaica, 1795, completed in manuscript, signed by captain Thomas Gardner, each a single sheet, 13 x 24 cm
