Commode, Empire chest of drawers - Empire - Soft wood, walnut wood - Early 19th century

Ancient Empire style dresser with three drawers, with half columns in black ebonized wood and gilt capitals. Of Emilian production, datable around 1810-20. Built with hand beaten nails, wooden pins and dovetail joints, the external parts are in solid walnut while the interiors are a mix of poplar and fir wood. Professionally restored with a conservative procedure including anti-worm treatment; still in first patina, beeswax polished, satin finish, original locks (only one key present) , the handles were added later. Courier shipping available to Italy and Europe, delivery to the street level only. Opening of the packing and mounting/placing are at the buyer's expense.
