Condition Report:
Overall the condition of the carnelian is good with dirt and wear to the surface consistent with age. There is a whiteish residue to the surface which is due to the stone having been in a fire in history. There are minor surface abrasions consistent with age. There is a small percussion point to the right edge with an associated minor fissure. There is minor general wear to the 18th-century ring mount consistent with age, including minor abrasions.
