A JEWELLED GOLD AND ENAMEL COMMEMORATIVE SOUVENIR, PROBABLY FRENCH, CIRCA 1890
of upright form, cut-cornered section, the front and back applied with an earlier miniature of a masonic tomb, inscribed: DAN, the reverse with the date: du 14 novembre 1792 in seed pearls, each oval blue panel framed by rose diamonds, the lid applied in rose diamonds with the motto: souvenir / d'amitié, the scarlet translucent enamel ground over diaper engine-turning and set overall with rose diamond stars within pearl borders to form a glittering whole, the interior complete with ivory memorandum slips, pencil and scoop, apparently unmarked
