With tapering russet double-edged blade deeply cut with converging flutes forming ridges over each side to the point of reinforced diamond section, iron hilt thickly covered in silver and comprising side-bars each gilt along the outside and chased with flower-heads and meandering arabesques against a pricked ground, and three grips each swelling at the centre and with gilt button terminals
