Pair of Chinese Hardwood Curio Stands, 19th Century
A pair of Chinese hardwood curio stands dating to the 19th century.
Dimensions are: 12 inches tall X 9 inches wide, 30.5 cm tall X 22.9 cm wide. All measurements are approximate.
Condition: One has been repaired, and shows cracking and separation of seams due to dryness.
Provenance: From the estate of Mr. Kwok Woon Kun, formerly a shareholder of Wing On Company, a well-known department store group in Hong Kong and Shanghai. This collection was collected in Hong Kong prior to Mr. Kwok's death in 1969. His collection was shipped to Canada in 1981 and was inherited by Mr. Kwok's daughter and grandson. Lot 229-285 from our auction on Sept 6th, 2019 were from the same estate.
