17th-19th century AD. A group of archaistic agate carved figurines comprising: a small recumbent goat with legs tucked below the belly and head raised with curved horns and long goatee; a stylised horse head with flowing mane; an ovoid-section bead with dragon(?); a carved stylised mythological face, possibly a taotie mask. 315 grams total, 5-7cm (2-2 3/4"). Property of a Middlesex collector; acquired on the London art market before 2000; formerly in an old English collection.
