Mammoth Tooth, Wooly Rhino Tooth, & Mammoth Fur
Central Asia, Siberia, Pleistocene, ca. 3.6 million years ago to 10,000 years ago. A wonderfully preserved example of a fossilized tooth from a woolly rhino (Coelodonta antiquitatis), an animal that lived during the Ice Age. The roots are black while the tooth itself is a beautiful blue-grey. Also, Siberia or northern North America, Early Pliocene to Early Holocene, ca. 5 million years ago to 10,000 years ago. A fine, large fossilized example of a mammoth tooth with beautiful deposits on its surface. Included as well are two packets of grey and brown mammoth fur. Size of mammoth tooth: 6" W x 5.15" H (15.2 cm x 13.1 cm); 8.05" H (20.4 cm) on included custom stand.
