Beautiful modern era relic of St. Thomas, one of the 12 Apostles. In excellent condition. According to tradition, he went so far as to preach the Gospel outside the borders of the Roman Empire, in Persia and India, where he founded the first Christian community. Venerated as a saint by the Catholic Church, the Orthodox Church and the Coptic Church, he is the patron saint of architects, surveyors, land surveyors and India; in the paintings he is represented with a spear in his hand.
