IN4 (20x26 cm) . 564 (4, XX and 540) , 560 pp. (4, 556) , 5 folding maps (Map of the Gulf of Mexico, Isles and Adjacens, South America, Mexico or New Spain and Map of countries located on the South Sea from Panama to Guayaquil) and 1 leaflet engraving (chronological table of Mexicans) at the end of the book. Oval browning at the top of page 507 to 540 of Volume 1 by 1 to 4 cm. 4 pages with a slight lack of paper on the margins and on a corner (less than 2 cm) . Inf. headdress of Volume 2 slightly damaged. A wormhole on the bit at the bottom of the top dish of Volume 2. Very nice set collated and complete. Minimal foxing, white paper. The same year, IN8 versions in 3 volumes and IN12 in 4 volumes were published by Panckoucke. This IN-4 version is the most enjoyable to look at. Superb condition in Large format
