Important princely Tulwar sword
IMPORTANT PRINCELY TULWAR SWORD.
Origin: Mughal India.
Date: 1st half 19th c.
Technique: Blade from dark, finely patterned wooz steel with gold inlay (koftgari), handle silvered and gilt.
Description: Made for the ruler of the princely state of Khairpur, formerly British India, today part
of the Pakistani province of Sindh.
Measurement: Weight ca. 1050g, complete length 97cm, blade 85cm.
Signature: Sign. on the blade: Asad Allah Isfahani.
Seal: Owner: Sergal Mir Ali Murad Khan Talpur (reg. 1842-1894).
Condition A/B. Bowl at the pommel bent.
