Harlan Estate 1990 (1 BT)
PROPERTY FROM AN IMPORTANT NEW ENGLAND CELLAR, PART II
Harlan Estate 1990
Napa

Last tasted from magnum. It is amazing to think this was made from such young vines (4th leaf) - only in California! It was an early harvest with low yields. Incredible, rich chocolate bouquet. Blackberries. Minty and spicy. One senses the voluptuous generosity of the wine. Great healthy black fruit. "Feminine", mabye because of its 40% Merlot. The Cabernet Sauvignon is super too. There is a tannic, orangey flourish at the end. Serena Sutcliffe, MW
