Scarification of small crosses on the cheeks is rare by the Lega.
But I have seen on those :

I also have a Lukungu mask with these scarifications in my personal collection
This type of mask was used in the cult of the Bwami, a "semi-secret" association
that organized the social structure and ensured the stability of the Lega community.
