Immense Leaf-shaped Centerpiece - .800 silver - Italy - Second half 20th century

This huge, completely handmade centrepiece shaped like a leaf consists of a large silver slab (if held against the light, all the hammering signs are obvious) . As an experienced collector, I have never seen a handmade leaf of this size; it was probably custom made for some customer or perhaps it belonged to a jeweller who used it to show his mastery in creating luxury silver items. It is probably inspired by the masterpieces of Maison Buccellati.
