The translucent, yellow stone carved as a well-hollowed, flattened pear-shaped vase, standing on a splayed oval foot, the slender neck flanked with archaistic bird handles, crisply carved with a continuous scene of two scholars by a pine tree on one side, the other with a solitary scholar under a willow by a rocky shore, the cover with chilong finial. 8cm (3 1/8in) high (2).
