Stellar WWII US Navy 16th Torpedo Squadron 16 hand painted wood sign measuring 12 7/8 and is a hand made sign. There are several writings to the front including "PT 219" "Commissioned New Orleans La. March 4 1943" and the sign is artist signed. The squadron saw action in Dutch New Guinea, Philippines and Borneo waters. Squadron 16 was awarded the Navy Commendation for action at Mindoro from Dec 15 to 19, 1944. Excellent condition.
