Chinese Agate Snuff Bottle, 18th Century
A Chinese agate snuff bottle dating from the 18th century. The snuff bottle has a carving of a monkey on a horse, referring to "Ma Shang Feng Hou". It includes a coral stopper.
Dimensions are: 2 3/4 inches tall X 2 inches wide, 7 cm tall X 5.1 cm wide. All measurements are approximate.
Condition: The snuff bottle has a crack in the stone.
Provenance: From Mr. Kung in Vancouver, Canada, inherited from his father, who acquired this item in Hong Kong and had it shipped to Canada before the 1970s. Lots 194-198 from our auction on Sept 6th, 2019 were from the same estate.
