1906 VIRGINIA LICENSE PLATE, #1.

The title says it all. Simply put, this is the very first plate ever issued by the state of Virginia. There are only one or two other true first issue #1s in the rest of the USA. This plate is porcelain, and the condition is very nice. There are no touch-ups, or any other alterations-this is a completely original plate. The provenance that comes with this plate is extraordinary. It would seem that no other early plate comes with so much detail. Early photos, documents, ownership papers, etc. are included, all which serve to positively validate this plate as completely authentic.
