An early 19th century continental enamel chain.

The oval-shaped pierced and embossed links with black, white and blue foliate enamel decoration, each spaced with an enamel foliate link, circa 1825, with a later added lobster clip, probably Swiss, length 45cm.
Condition Report: Weight approx. 57g. Metal untested. Overall fair to poor. Surface scratches/ wear, discolouration, punctures and dents. Wear to enamel throughouts; chips and discolouration. Solder evident to some links as well as patch repair work. Joined together by a large jumpring and two smaller ones, one gold plated. Not an openable clasp. Attached lobster clip stamped 14k, later added. Length measurment taken as if worn, if opened and extended approx length 90cm.
