REMINGTON RUSSIAN M1891 NAGANT 7.62 RIFLE

SN 607605. 32.5" barrel bolt action 7.62mm rifle. Remington Model 1891 Nagant rifle. Made for the Russian army by Remington, dated 1917 on the receiver. Has octagonal receiver and Russian proof marks. Most of these were recalled after the Bolshevik rising in Russia and sold on the US civilian market. As a result, the Remington Armory marks at the receiver have been struck, as have the Russian acceptance marks on the right side of the receiver. Rifle appears to have original parts, but is missing the cleaning rod. Floor plate and butt plate have matching SN. Finish approximately 75% with considerable age wear near the front sight and muzzle and storage and handling wear on the stock. Action is flawless, and bore isVery good, retaining strong rifling.
