An Egyptian faience pectoral scarab, Ptolemaic Period, c. 332 - 30 BC, with nice details and remnants of deep blue-green glaze; six holes around the periphery for fastening the wings and tying the pectoral to the bandages of the mummy. Dimensions: 1 2/3 in x 1 1/4 in (4.3 x 3.2 cm). Light deposits. Ex Virginia private estate formed during the 1950s-1970s.
