What can I say? I just thought that this locket had panache. I was shopping the markets of Paris on a sunny day, enjoying a grand crème (this is what you should order if you want a latte in the city of lights), only looking into the cases lightly as I went along. I was was in a mood, waiting for a piece to pop out at me. This one captured my eye, I found it quite unusual, especially the lovely lavender color and contrasting bright white enamel.; Hand crafted in 18 karat gold, this wonderful octagonal locket features a type of enameling referred to as 'guilloche', where the gold has been patterned by being engraved and then enameled over the top. The locket opens easily and closes with a nice little snap. It measures 7/8 of an inch across and weighs 5.8 grams. It is unmarked but has been acid tested to verify the 18 karat gold content.;
