Original vintage glossy 7.25 x 9.25 silver gelatin photo of the Beatles during Robert Whitaker's famous 'Butcher Cover' photo session for the band's ninth studio album, Yesterday and Today. The outtake photo was taken by Whitaker at the Vale Studio in Chelsea, London on March 25, 1966, and has been colored in blue felt tip by Whitaker. In fine condition, with scattered light surface marks. Accompanied by a certificate of authenticity from Tracks. Whitaker's photo shoot, which features the Fab Four covered in raw meat, dolls and false teeth, was inspired by the German surrealist Hans Bellmer's images of dismembered doll and mannequin parts.
