A giltwood console table in Louis XVI style, late 19th century, the white marble top above a pierced frieze and scroll supports united by an X-stretcher with central shell decoration, 101cm high, 113cm wide, 52cm deep

Condition Report:
Marks, knocks, scratches, abrasions consistent with age and use, chips and losses to the gilt surface in places (mainly extremities such as the flower head decoration) this reveals the underlying composition and in some places the underlying timber there is also some and rubbing to the gilt surface, in some places this is revealing the underlying bole. Old splits and cracks, some old joints opening up in places, overall the table appears stable though. Some old glued repairs to some elements The marble with the usual minor nicks and chips to the edges (mainly the rear) there is a larger chip to the front edge.
