Chinese, Han Dynasty, the chariot fitting with stylized buffalo head having a ring at one end and curled horns, the open end with incised lappets and an encircled ring band, with some gilt decoration remnants. Length, 4.5". Provenance: From the Private Collection of Morton & Kathleen Sachs of Louisville, Kentucky, purchased from TK Asian Antiquities (Williamsburg, VA) in 2000 or 2001 for $1,815.
