Lancia - Appia Convertible Vignale - 1959

Very rare Vignale, only 1584 copies were made. In 1956 for the first time Lancia delivered a special platform version of the Appia basic structure to some coach builders such as Vignale or Zagato. In 1957, at the Geneva Motor Show, the special bodies that made it into Lancia's official programme (including the Vignale convertible and the Zagato coupé) were shown. A special feature is the V4 engine with its camshafts arranged on the side of the block. 1584 copies of the Vignale were manufactured, it was offered with a selling price just under that of the Porsche 356 Cabriolet. The car offered here was imported from the USA to Europe in 2016. In 2017 restoration work took place. German registration. German MOT valid until 11/2021. According to the restoration work the vehicle is in a nice condition. Nevertheless, patina and minor optical flaws are of course unavoidable. Notable are scratches in a side window, a part of a trim is broken, the leather on the door panels is partly worn out, patina on the chrome parts, minimal paint spots, horn ring without function (but works via separate horn button) . The white wall tyres are brand new (0 km) . As Vignale very rare and thus a rare opportunity. These vehicles are becoming more and more valuable.
