This revised edition, edited and arranged by the Chid"a himself, includes three books:ֲ Shem HaGedolimֲ Part I, in a revised edition with an alphabetic list of Jewish sages, including many entries which do not appear in the earlier edition; Va'ad L'Chachamim Part II, with a list of books by rabbinic leaders, likewise in alphabeticֲ order; Chasdei Avot-Rashei Avot on tractate Avot, also in a revised edition, with the "Rashei Avot" commentary printed here for the first time. The Chid"a added a section in the shape of a hand before each one of the supplements appearing here for the first time.
