British, early 19th century, earthenware with˜transfer decoration, gilded edges and interior borders, nine cups in two designs, five with dog transfer to interior center, largest 2-1/4 x 3-1/2 in.; nine saucers, 5-3/4 in.Note: Transfer decoration after work by William Russell Birch (1755-1834), titled "Mount Vernon Seat of the late Genl. Condition Report: wear consistent with age and use; transfer/image fading ranging from mild to major, scattered areas of gilt loss, hairline cracks to bases of five saucers, two with possible repairs; cracks to interiors of two cups, possible repairs, residue buildup to bases
