South-east Asia from India to the southern coastline of Japan. The northern coastline of Australia is still connected to New Guinea by Carpentaria, though this is ill-defined. The elaborate title cartouche shows, on the left, a missionary converting the natives; on the right are more natives offering exotic gifts such as ivory and coral as tribute to a personification of Europe.
Condition Report: Some foxing, darkening along centerfold, verso with paper around edges from earlier mounting and tape repairs along centerfold; very good.
