C. 3100 - 2900 BC An Ancient Holy Land terracotta bowl of a large size. The vessel features a flared foot, an ovoid shape, and four applied ledge handles. The well levigated surface has been left undecorated, with the exception of a simple motive of incised dots running around the rim. The Holy Land was the first region to enter the Bronze Age, which began with the rise of the Mesopotamian civilisation of Sumer in the mid-fourth millennium BC Slightly cracked with earthy surface deposits otherwise intact and of a large size with nice detail.
