Vintage 14kt Opal & Diamond Ring, Mid-Century, size
Vintage 14kt Opal & Diamond Ring. Size 6.25, 5.44 grams. The opals are 7.5mm by 5.5mm, which are appx. .75ctw each. There are three diamonds down the center that are appx. 2mm each. The diamonds are centered in a textured jagged cut folded texture accent and to the side of that taco-like design an opal sits on each side. The ring is a size 6.25 it has a marking E11 and what looks like an M on the other side of the band. The age of the ring is appx. 1950's. It is a heavy ring. The band is 1.5mm thick and the width of the band is about 2.3mm at the back with a split band at the top shoulders where it meets the ring. It is an unusual design - perhaps modern for it's time. This came from a PA estate in Philadelphia. It has some typical wear for a 1960's ring but it is nice quality and weight. Very good condition. See photos. Lot Loc. W.6.1718.13X - LD 6/18/17)
