A George III mahogany chest on chest, circa 1780, the moulded cornice above an arrangement of two short drawers and six long graduated drawers, each of the two sections cornered by engaged stop fluted pilasters, on ogee bracket feet, 171cm high, 118cm wide, 53cm deep
Condition Report:
Marks, scratches and abrasions commensurate with age and use Old chips and splits as expected for age The locks and handles are original. Some old repairs including to front left foot. The rear panels and drawer linings are original Some minor division between elements of floors of drawer linings as expected for age. Drawers all opening - they would probably benefit with lubrication (such as candle grease) to assist the running of the drawers.
